PDO Threads

PDO Threads are a game changer for people starting in their 40s and beyond with mild and moderate signs of aging. The skin naturally starts losing collagen and elasticity as we get older, and can result in sagging around the midface, eyes, neck, jawline, décolleté and knees.

PDO thread lifts are a non-surgical alternative to a face lift that helps to create a sculpted, lifted look without incisions or scars.  The results are immediate as PDO threads are placed to give a 3D lift for face and neck.

What is PDO Thread?

Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are FDA cleared surgical grade threads that have tiny barbs or cones which help grip the skin. They are dissolvable threads, which are absorbed over the first twelve to eighteen months. When expertly positioned, the PDO Threads give the face or body a more toned, lifted, and rejuvenated appearance because they trigger a boost in your natural collagen production.

How does it work?

PDO Threadlift is a minimally invasive procedure that does not require general anesthesia or big incisions. Tiny
barbs are strategically placed and molded all around the thread. Once the threads are placed into the skin, the barbs anchor onto sagging tissue under the skin, and the thread can be maneuvered to achieve a naturally youthful and defined look.

What are the benefits?

PDO Threadlift is a safe and effective procedure, which requires minimal incision. It represents an excellent alternative to surgical options.

What areas can be treated?

All areas of the body can be treated including the nasolabial folds, lips, eyelids, crow’s feet, glabella lines, the arch of the eyebrows, neck, and, the periocular area.

How often should I do a treatment?

Since the threads dissolve within about a year and a half, some patients schedule an appointment to have thread lifting performed again at that time. However, consultation with our specialist is key to scheduling the appropriate follow-up.

How many treatments will I need?

Most of our clients enjoy satisfactory results after just one treatment. Upon a consultation with our specialist, they will determine if you need a follow-up treatment. However, on a general basis, one treatment suffices for the following 1 1/2 years.

When will I see results?

Some results of the treatment, such as skin lifting and some of the contouring effects, are immediately visible. However, final results will be seen within one to two months from the procedure. How long it takes you depends a lot on your age. Your age is one of the leading factors in how quickly your body produces new and healthy collagen.

When can I resume my normal activities after the treatment?

Normal activities can be resumed after little or even no downtime. Our specialist will advise you on the exact timing.

Why should I choose this treatment?

In comparison to similar treatments, PDO threads are gentler on the skin, thus can be lifted higher and more comfortably.

Does it hurt?

PDO Threads produce minimal discomfort during the procedure.
